SEA WILLOW COTTAGE

Castle Pill Farm, Pembrokeshire

Nestled in the Castle Pill Valley, our lovely barn conversion - Sea Willow Cottage, is ideally situated for exploring Pembrokeshire and it's 52 beaches. Tucked down a secluded country lane, peaceful woodland trails, the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast Path and a tidal inlet of the Cleddau Estuary are also right on your doorstep, providing for a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

All of our contemporary open-plan cottages have been renovated to a high standard and are beautifully furnished to ensure your stay is a luxurious one. Each of the cottages provide family-sized living spaces with modern furnishings and a warm, cosy feel. They have well-equipped modern open-plan kitchens to ensure the keen cook has everything at hand to create their holiday feast, whilst also being able to partake in any holiday entertainment! Each of our four cottages are slightly different in size, features and furnishings, so you’ve plenty of choice when booking with us.  We can also accommodate large group bookings (between multiple properties). Contact us for more information and rates.

SEA WILLOW COTTAGE

This beautiful two bedroom cottage is situated in the old farm courtyard, in one of the old farm stone buildings, which now offers a contemporary and tastefully furnished space whilst retaining its character as one of the oldest barns on the farm.

The modern open-plan kitchen is well-equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher and washer/drier. The living space has a large comfortable L shaped sofa, a generous television and a farmhouse dining table for serving family meals.

The two bedrooms have comfortable beds (a King in the master bedroom and a double and a single in the second bedroom) and so can accommodate up to five people (with three sharing the larger room).

A family bathroom offers a bath tub, with a powerful shower over and plenty of hot water. Whilst the master bedroom benefits from a generous ensuite shower room.

A large drying room houses a washer/drier and provides the perfect airing cupboard for any wet gear after a day on the beach.

This cottage benefits from a completely private garden at the rear of the property, with a generous patio, outdoor table and chairs, BBQ and attractive pergola. The garden is fenced to keep both children and furry friends close by. To the front, attractive landscaped communal gardens and lawns offer secluded areas for enjoying the countryside and local wildlife. Parking is at the front of the property (with sufficient parking for two cars).

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is just a few hundred yards from the property and leads to further trails that wind their way through ancient oak woodland and to the Castle Pill Inlet of the Cleddau Estuary. Woodpeckers, kingfishers and herons are all common sightings, and crabbing opportunities provide hours of fun for little ‘uns. The woods are also home to a community project which has constructed two roundhouses with a free access woodland campfire area adjacent a freshwater stream perfect for paddling and dam building!

From the water’s edge, keen walkers can either follow the meandering coast at low tide, along the old railway line path all the way to Milford Marina and all that it offers. Or you can head along the Coast Path to the quaint village of Hazelbeach taking in views of the impressive energy infrastructure of Milford Haven. Here a riverside pub, The Ferry Inn, serves hearty pub food on its waterfront terrace and welcomes dogs with open arms.

The cottage is situated at the heart of our family’s working eco-farm although unfortunately unrestricted access to fields and farm is not permitted for safety and insurance reasons. We do invite you to sample our home-grown greens, free range woodland pork, eggs or the sustainably reared fish from our aquaponics tunnel, season permitting - just let us know what you would like; price lists are available in your cottage.

We aim to always be contactable during your stay, should you need us, but are not always around to welcome you in person, so we provide detailed instructions and a key box so you can let yourselves in.

Please note the standard bed arrangement is as follows:
The King bed will be made up if the booking is made for 2 persons, the King bed and the
Single bed will be made up for 3 persons, the King bed and the Double bed will be made up for 4 persons. All three beds will be made up for 5 persons.
