HIDDEN RIVERSIDE CABIN

Black Tar, Llangwm

Nestled within a secluded garden, this idyllic cabin offers a cosy and unique stay in a tranquil Pembrokeshire riverside location.

Of unknown origins, we like to imagine that this tiny stone-built and timber-clad cabin in the sleepy hamlet of Black Tar, was once a Pirate's hideout. It now offers a couple an idyllic riverside retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

A perfect example of ‘tiny house living’, the Riverside Cabin is cosy yet comfortable, and has everything a couple needs for a lively weekend of watersports, or for a perfect romantic getaway...a hot shower, comfortable bed, a cosy fire and a great space outdoors for enjoying the waterside location without getting your toes wet, as well as access that leads directly to the water’s edge for watersports enthusiasts.

The recently renovated space is quirky, charming and romantic. The cosy dining, lounge and kitchenette area benefits from a log-burner to help keep you cosy on those cooler nights, whilst the well-equipped kitchenette (with a gas hob, microwave oven and fridge) provides everything you need to create a romantic meal for two. There is an upstairs sleeping loft, with luxurious bedding on a king size bed, and a quirky hot shower and toilet downstairs.

Please note, the upstairs sleeping loft is accessed via a set of steep ladder-like steps  (see photos). If you are unable to ascend or descend such steps, please get in touch, and we can assist in finding a more suitable property for you.

To aid in escaping modern life's ties, wifi in the property is limited and can only be accessed from the garden (although 4G is available on some networks - EE and Three).

Access and parking is shared, but you have the property's whole garden to yourselves, which offers ample space for fun and games, as well as stunning views of the river, and is fully equipped with garden furniture, a fire pit, and a BBQ.

Please note: There is ample parking but car access is restricted during Spring tides (refer to your welcome email). Pedestrian access is available at all times along the adjacent Public Right of Way.

Also, the parking area is open to the waterfront so caution should be exercised with pets and children.

Whilst we are not on site, we are a 20 minute drive away and should the need arise will be happy to attend to help in anyway we can.

The cabin itself has it’s own private pedestrian access around the side of the main house, and a private and secluded garden, equipped with a BBQ and firepit, garden furniture and decking area.

Whilst there is wifi access provided, it should be noted that it is limited and can only be accessed from the garden (not the cabin itself).

From the cabin you can follow the meandering path along the water's edge or ramble into the Pembrokeshire countryside. Or why not hike out to the local pub, The Cottage Inn, (a 15 minute stroll) renowned for it’s friendly atmosphere and good food.

If you can tear yourself away from the water for a day, there is an abundance of activities an easy drive from us.

Wales' best surfing beaches are just 30 minutes North and South of here, whilst the easy water access means dingy sailing, windsurfing and rowing are all on your doorstep, if you have your own equipment or have organised hire for your stay.
